What Is The Rank Of Vp In A Company?

People looking for leadership jobs usually ask, “What is the rank of VP in a company?” The Vice President (VP) is a senior executive who reports to the President or CEO. They help guide the company and execute its projects. They lead teams and are involved with strategy and in making plans for the future.

Many people want to know who the vice president of a company is. The answer is that they are senior-level employees who help it function smoothly. They have a powerful role that shapes the success of an organisation. VPs handle different divisions and have teams of people who report to them.

In large companies like the Prestige Group VPs have a vital role in overseeing projects. The Prestige Evergreen project at Varthur is a fine example of how VPs work. The grand project has 2000 apartments and 40+ amenities and is a complex build.

The VP in charge of the Prestige Evergreen project will delegate tasks and manage the team. The project is laid out to meet the needs and expectations of customers. Seasoned Vice Presidents in the Prestige Group play a valuable role.

A Prestige Group VP’s salary is based on their responsibilities as well as their experience. It can range from Rs. 3.5 lakh to Rs. 5 lakh per month. Individuals who are of a higher rank of VP in the company can earn more per month.

What a VP looks after will change based on the industry. Here is a general look at what they are involved in:

• Leading large departments, such as construction, HR, sales, finance, etc.
• Making long-term plans that are for the company's growth.
• Management of teams.
• Making decisions, approving plans, and overseeing projects.
• Supporting the senior management.

There are other roles, such as Senior Vice President (SVP) and Executive Vice President (EVP). These are higher than a VP. The Executive Vice President’s salary and the Senior Vice President’s salary are higher. A VP’s salary in a company is based on the job being handled. The salary of a director versus a VP is also much higher.

There are positions above and below the VP in a company. Here is the ranking of employees in a corporate setup:

• The Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is the company’s top boss.
• The President is usually equal to the CEO, but sometimes above.
• The Chief Financial Officer, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Technology Officer head Finance, Operations, and Technology. They are also known as the CFO, COO, and CTO.
• The Vice President handles large departments and projects.
• Directors and Managers head groups of smaller teams.
• Team leads head single teams.
• Other employees.

The setup shows that the rank of a VP in a company is a high position in it. It is higher than the rank of a General Manager (GM). The answer to which is higher, Managing Director or Vice President, is Managing Director (MD). The MD handles the overall company. A VP works with a specific department.

The rank of a VP in a company is senior and is a key role. They report directly to the CEO or President and are actively involved in its functioning.
